Gender: Female
What animal is it: Rabbit. Holland Lop.
Who’s pet is it: Netherlands
Appearance:
Miffy is a Holland lop, who is mainly white of colour. She has hints of brown in her fur, including at the tips of her lopped ears. On her back, there is a brown spot in the shape of a heart.
Likes:
- Carrots
- Grass
- Tulips
- Netherlands, her owner
- Being outside
Dislikes:
- Cats, or any other animals that would want to eat her
- Being stuck inside her cage for a long time
- When Netherlands is stressed or depressed
Personality:
Miffy is over all a pretty happy-go-lucky bunny. She tries to get along with whoever she meets, though when it comes to predators, she won’t trust them that easily. Whenever she meets a predator she tends to run away to safety. If she can’t get to safety, she won’t hesitate to bite.
She’s a whole lot friendlier with most humans. The Holland lop was bred for their sweet temperament after all. Miffy is pretty loyal to her owner, and worries about him when he’s not doing well.
Once Miffy has set her eye on something, she won’t give up until she has it. Even though she is kind in nature, if she really wants it, she can get aggressive in order to get it. This can be anything from her owner’s safety, to a thing she really, really wants.
Background story:
When the Holland lop breed was perfected, one of the rabbits was given to Netherlands. She was called ‘Miffy’, after a popular character of Dutch children books. She is often teasingly called ‘Eka’ by his owner, which is short for ‘Eerste Kerst Avond’ (First Christmas Eve). Meaning that the animal was bought to serve as food for Christmas Eve. This is just a joke however.
Miffy has been with Netherlands for a long time now and she has grown to care a lot about him. She wouldn’t abandon him for anything.
Sample RP:
Miffy ran across the field as fast as she could, making her leaps as big as possible. Figures the one time she was out of her cage and not under the watching eye of her owner that she was being chased by a cat. Stupid animals. Couldn’t Greece keep them on a leash or something? That would make life a whole lot easier for the little rabbit.
The cat was catching up with her, so she tried running in a zigzag pattern. The wind blew in her face as she ran even harder, getting further with each leap she took. She wouldn’t be able to keep this up for much longer though. There was only so much that adrenaline could do. Frantically searching for a place where the cat wouldn’t be able to reach her, she looked around. There were only a few trees, and she couldn’t climb.
As her legs were starting to fail her, she spotted something underneath one of the trees. It was a rabbit hole. She instantly changed direction and sped off towards the rabbit hole. Without slowing down, she ran into the hole. Miffy came to an abrupt halt when she ran face first into the wall of the tunnel. She shook her head to get the sand out of her eyes. When she glanced backwards, she saw the cat’s paw reaching inside, clawing at the sand in an attempt to catch her. Miffy quickly went further into the tunnel, hoping that there wasn’t anyone living here. And if there was, that they were friendly and would let her stay.
